We stayed three nights at the Caesar Park Hotel Kenting for our first time ever in Kenting and it was lovely. It felt like a mid-luxury hotel which was perfectly nestled in nature. For those who are interested in experiencing a Taiwanese night market, this was the perfect location as the Kenting Night Market is within walking distance. Keep reading to learn more about our stay.

GETTING AROUND
We drove to Kenting from Taichung and it was just over a 3 hour trip. If you are planning on making the trip without a car, you could take the high speed rail to the most southern stop, Zuoying in Kaoshiung City. From there you can take an express bus and it is approximately a 2-hour drive. To get around while you’re in Kenting, there are buses and taxis, but of course the most convenient way of getting around is having your own vehicle. At the Caesar Park Hotel Kenting, there were lots of parking spots available for guests who drove.
THE PROPERTY
Caesar Park is a hotel chain in Taiwan with multiple locations. I’ve also stayed at their Banqiao location, which is very nice, but the Kenting location is my favourite as it’s just stunning. There are parts of the hotel that feel a bit older, like the hallways and the elevators, but overall it is quite luxe. It seems that the rooms were recently redone and in my opinion this property lives up to the standards of a 5-star hotel in Taiwan.
The Caesar Park Hotel Kenting has a lot of greenery and areas to go for a stroll after meals (watch out for mosquitos). With all of the palm trees and plants, it truly felt like a tropical getaway. We really enjoyed the daily complimentary breakfast buffet, which had a variety of eastern and western dishes. I had Taiwanese-style congee, fresh fruits and juice every morning. Our room was very comfortable and spacious. The bathroom had a very nice shower and a large tub. We even had our own balcony that overlooked the pool.
The hotel pool was very nice and I had no problem finding lounge chairs to tan on. For those traveling with families, there was a shallow area of the pool for younger kids to play. Compared to North America, Taiwan is more conservative in terms of attire and most people avoid the sun, so that may be why I was one of the only people tanning by the pool.
Another huge perk of the Caesar Park Hotel Kenting is that it’s just a short walk from Xiaowan Beach. We also tried the spa while we were there, but found the treatment menu to be a bit limited and on the pricier side. I’m not sure if this was due to Taiwan still having some COVID restrictions during that time (mandatory masks).
