We only had three days in Lagos and spent most of our time beach-hopping, so we didn’t explore the food scene as much as I would’ve liked. However, the few restaurants in Lagos we did try were amazing! Keep reading to learn more about the restaurants we enjoyed most from our stay in Lagos.

ESTUDIO VEGETARIANO
There are so many restaurants in Lagos and we were looking for a good vegan/vegetarian place. With our dairy allergy, we were happy to find Estudio Vegetariano, which ended up being our favourite! Everything we ordered was amazing but the highlights were the lasagna with aubergines, zucchinis and vegan “ricotta”, as well as the celery steaks in a mushroom cream sauce. It’s a small and popular restaurant, so I’d recommend making reservations.

LA ESTERELLA LAGOS
La Esterella is a little hole in the wall bar-restaurant right beside Estudio Vegetariano. We really enjoyed the Chili con carne and fresh seafood. The portions were quite generous and prices were reasonable as well. There is outdoor seating hidden in the back of the restaurant.

O MEXILHAO
We came to O Mexilhao for casual Portuguese eats and found the seafood to be very fresh. The prices were reasonable as well. The restaurant is located in a bustling part of Lagos with plenty of patio seating, which makes it a great place for people-watching. It is also walking distance from many central hotels and shops.
